Anyone interested in OneWorld Mega-Do? ( like *A going on now ?)

I am in the midst of reading with great joy, the website of the Star Alliance Mega do which is occurring now.. I am mostly a One World flyer who is literally in the air 30-40% of waking hours.. Lots of experience with OWE tics as well as Circle Pacific tics? I have some ideas.. but thought that before time and effort is put in.. would ask fellow One Worlder's what the thought is?......

That would be something like 500,000 BIS miles per year? One has to ask... Why?

I would like to contact friends at AA in DFW.. I also would like to see if we could arrange a similar scenario to the STAR mega-do. with careful planning and connections that our FT community has with the OW airlines.. We could possible plan a DO in Europe , Asia or SWP wherever people want.. but I am ready to do some work... its actually quite interesting and exciting....

I would be interested too. Have been reading the mega-do with great interest so would be interested in a OW equivalent.

I'd keep it here as long as it still conceptual. Once youhave something concrete, I'd start a post in Community.

As someone who has organised a few small dos, I know that any do involves a lot of work. The recent *A megado required an enormous amount of work (many hundreds of hours) and an enormous amount of goodwill by various sponsors (ie you'd need to have very good contacts).

If you are serious I'd suggest you talk with one of the organisers of the *A megado first so that expectations are realistic. That said, there may be others in FT who can help assist (the *A megado had 3 organisers plus a number of others who provided some assistance behind the scenes).
