The "misunderstand this post and reply" thread

I really don't think that butter is as bad as people think. And bread and carbs aren't so good either. You can't worry so much about what you eat anyway. That induces stress.

Don't you think that worrying too much is stressful and probably worse for you than anything else?

Because you're on a diet, let me tell you about something else you should worry about -- trans fats. They have been linked to cancer, so you should really try to avoid them. The Nutrition Facts will tell you how many trans fats a food has. And you should make a point always to ask the waiter or chef in any restaurant about the trans fats in their food. If he or she does not tell you, get up and find another restaurant.

why call people fat? That's not the word I would use. I would use something like weight-challenged. That's my advice in this situation. Maybe someone else has a better term.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. Butter is good for you. It's carbs that cause problems, but I think people should be more concerned about stress than what they eat.

I take issue with your facts. I find eating very relaxing. Far from stressful, in fact. It's a very calming thing.

My facts are unimpeachable. You need to check yours. There are very few things that are more relaxing than eating. It's worry that's stressful.

I heartily agree. Other people may say that we are jumping the gun on this impeachment thing but I agree with you. It's high time we impeached the president and I am glad that we have this meeting of the minds on this subject.

Why can't you see my side of this issue? How can you possibly think we are jumping the gun on impeachment?

I'm not sure that impeachment is an issue here. It could be a matter of not Mirandizing the suspect, couldn't it? And few people's testimony is unimpeachable when you get right down to it.

Are you trying to start an argument? Impeachment is not an issue. I think that's obvious.

I don't know what makes you think Richard is trying to remove you from this thread, I think he was referring to the Clinton impeachment hearings in a backhanded way.

He's just trying to prove that stress is worse for you than eating too much and that's how he got into this impeachment issue. Peaches are very
non-fattening and they smell nice (unless they're rotten). He's also saying to stay away from gluten. This is just a study he's doing and he wants us to be part of the protocol. This is all so clear. But impeaching the pres is not a bad idea.

Clinton's never had much of a backhand shot. It's one of the reasons ping-pong diplomacy fell apart during his administration. We need an athletic administration if we're to improve our relationship with the Chinese.

Chinese checkers is hardly what I would call an athletic pursuit . And I don't think it's nice to refer to an ethnic group in the name of a game. Lots of people play checkers. Get your facts straight before you post like that!

It may not be athletic but it is exhausting standing at a supermarket cashier all day, and it's certainly no game! At least in Britain those who perform this role can sit down whilst they work.
