I loved the Daytona 500 but there was no Dodge in the race the day I was there although, I must confess, I didn't pay much attention to what kinds of cars were there. They kind of all looked the same to me. But it was great fun and I'd like to go again. When exactly did you go?

Where did I go? I haven't been anywhere, I'm here! What are you talking about?

I haven't thought about that game in years! Interesting enough, the person who taught it to me was Japanese.

Japanese people who are very old of many years are regarded as wise, their society is one which shows respect to older people, we in the West would be wise to take heed.

I agree, in the West it is all take, take, take. Especially the older people, they feel so entitled, just for being old!!

Where in the world did you get the idea that those in the west are bolder people? Some are bold. Some aren't. Some are much bolder than others and some are less bold than others. So you get the idea of what I'm talking about.

You've never been with me on the moor! I think you would find there are many things about which we could find common ground.

Why do you think the Moors loved coffee so much? It sounds like you have a theory. Would you mind sharing your insight? I think it would be invaluable. The moors were defeated in 1492 of course, and if coffee had something to do with it, as I think you are intimating, then that would be important historical news.

Wow! Whatta coincidence this is. The Moores used to live next door to me too. There was Becky Moore, Peggy Moore and Herman Moore. The grandparents, Esther and Jack McDonald (mother's side), lived there too. As an aside, who would ever name their kid Herman? Anyway, to think they moved next door to you is something else. They did not seem to have a defeatist attitude though as you mention.

Wow, I love barefoot walking and running and it's wonderful you had a whole family of barefeet folks living next door. It's neat that the grandparents went barefoot too. Did you see them running around the neighborhood barefoot all the time?

I think this is really cool.

I don't think it would be that cool to have Bigfoot as a neighbour. The constant media scrutiny must be a chore to deal with.

So the Beeb has got you under scrutiny, ehh? As you indicate, a lot of folks would pay oodles to be in your shoes. But evidently this is not the "good" publicity that everyone craves, but the "bad" publicity, right?

I would just say, hang in there. Study the famous Tylenol PR situation for lessons. Don't let the media rattle you. I would also get advice from an expert who has been where you are and who advises clients with PR disasters on their hands.

Barbed wire under the scrotum must be intolerable - you have my sympathies. Noodles in your shoes must seem so very trivial in comparison!
