anyone sharing a Pimm's#1 and/or some strawberries at Wimbledon with me? I am there the first 10 days (= that's usually just until the rain stops ...).

Thanks Rudi for the link. Federer is a great player to watch. No doubt, whether he wins the French or not, he's already established himself as one of the greatest tennis players of all time. I believe he will win more majors than anyone ever. If not for Nadal, he'd probably have 2 or 3 grand slams.

Gisela just read my post. Her comment: "there are no strawberries left to share ... or do they now serve more than one for £3.99?"

We are now officially 7 days away from wimbledon. Roger Federer is back in town, to claim his fifth wimbledon title, to become the third player in the history of the game to lift the trophy for a fifth time, after Borg and Sampras, and become only the second player to win a successive fifth time after Bjorn Borg.
The last 4 years, have been the most defining years in the mens game where we have seen greatness at a new level, in the form of Roger Federer. 3 Australian open titles, 3 US open titles, and most importantly 4 titles at SW19, which is where our attention will turn to when the champion will take centre stage yet again.
But he's not alone, their's a trail of big names that follow him into south west london, looking to knock him off and print a new name on the trophy. But three names top the list.
Roddick - Undoubtedly second favourite. Can he finally beat federer to lift the wimbledon trophy, under the guidance of Connors? It will be a big ask, he has yet to beat Federer in a best of five set match, and every time they play, the Swiss gets the better of him.
My prediction - Depends on the draw, but only one man will beat him, and thats federer. so it could be, quarters, semis, or finals. But he'l go as far until he plays Roger.
Nadal - The king of clay, a wimbledon finalist last year and he took a set of federer in a 4 set defeat, but has still though yet to master the green stuff, he is however fed's biggest rival on the tour.
my prediction - as the no.2 seed he should have a fairly easy draw, but their are several dangerous floaters in the draw who could beat him. his fighting instincts should see him to the last eight.
Hewitt - a consistent player on grass, a former wimbledon champion. one of the few players to beat federer on grass.
my prediction - great grass court pedigree, even though he went out early in queens, i reckon he will make it to the semis.
