I see a chiropractor monthly and he just recommended that I use "biofreeze" 3 times per day on the areas of my back and hip which are giving me signicant pain. I have the kind which is a "roll-on" application so I don't have to massage it in. It's freezing, menthol application feels great by the way. What I'm wondering is how soon must I leave it on before it dries so I can pull the covers up, get dressed, etc. Anyone know?

The more you rub it in, the faster it dries up. I would budget 15 minutes, though.
My chiropractor told me it's imperative you wash your hands after using it. Rubbing it into your eyes can seriously injure you.
Oh, and upon first whiff, it'll clear your sinuses.

But that's just it. The roll-on type doesn't require me to touch the ointment. That's why I wanted to know how fast it will dry. And yes, that menthol scent is great for one's sinuses.

Ive never used the roll-on version but I usually wait about 3-5 minutes to let it dry. But then the only thing it usually touches of my clothing is my undershirt/underwear which I can afford to have a little stained normally.
I use one of the small packets (ie sample packets) prior to boarding a plane for anything over 3 hours of flight and I get off the plane feeling much less tight in my lower back and hips.

Not sure, but it is great stuff. My massage therapist used it after deep tissue massage for tennis elbow, or as my internist more accurately called it - suitcase elbow, and it worked great.

My chiro rubbed it on my back at my last visit, but he did it as I was leaving the treatment room... so I just pulled down my waistband a little bit and he rubbed it on my low back. I immediately pulled up the waistband and went about my merry way. He never mentioned waiting at all.
