Aside from some 5,000 AA FF miles in the MSNBC daily contest a few years back, I'd never actually won much of anything. Yet I found out that I was fortunate enough to win a pretty nice bicycle! As a huge Lance Armstrong and USPS Postal Team fan, I'm VERY pleased! http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif
Some have won some extremely nice trips as I recall. Many FT'ers won particularly as a direct result and entry due to a post on FT!

My husband won a trip to Hawaii in a drawing and my son's won some prize money for music composition and science contests.
I figure I have no chance in drawings so only enter contests that require judging. I've won a decorating contest for my son's room, receiving $1000 in closet organizers and pictures in Ladies Home Journal; lots of Halloween costume contests, usually for cash; and then some professional contests that all too often are just for glory.
I haven't won anything but I've been hedging all my bets on getting onto TV shows like Survivor, Road Rules, The Mole, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Weakest Link, Amazing Race,...
I enter any contest that moves--it's one of my hobbies. But it's been a long cold spell between wins. Finally though--won a car safety kit (really neat--all sorts of tools, flashlight, jumper cables, first-aid kit) from Michelin, and just got notified that I won a skateboard (now what is a 60 year old going to do with a skateboard--give it to my niece, of course) from Pepsi. Obviously, these weren't the first prizes, but....'bout time, anyway. These were contests in Canada, I'd enter many others if they weren't restricted to only in the States.

This should be a fun thread to participate in and read as it grows, thanks Doc for starting it.
Over the years, I’ve entered a contest here and there and surprisingly, have mostly won. My most recent win was a trip to Switzerland, all expenses paid with a tour of the Evian bottling plant in Evian, France. The trip was compliments of Evian and was won during a promotion where I completed an entry form and mailed it in. The funny thing is that I actually prefer other bottled water to Evian, however, on the day I purchased the Evian and picked up the entry form, it was on sale and opted for it.
A number of years ago, I also won a Apple Macintosh computer from Coca-Cola, though I promptly sold it, a pair of round trip tickets to be used within the continental US from Pepsi, yes they earned ff points, 25,000 frequent flier miles from Alamo as a result of a rental in San Diego, a mountain bike, though I cannot recall the specific promotion, as well as a trip to Portland Oregon with 3 nights at the Hilton and r/t airfare, after watching the a special on TV about the rose festival that Portland is famous for. When the Kinko’s opened across the street from my place of employment a few months ago, I dropped a print job off and entered the grand opening sweepstakes and came back with a Kodak digital camera, thank goodness for eBAY, since I had just purchased a digital camera a month earlier.
For the 30th Anniversary at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, I won a $2,500 debit card which could be used at any Ruth's Chris for up to a year. Now, $2,500 isn't alot at Ruth's Chris, but we had a great time taking our friends and family out for meals.
There’s been a smattering of other, smaller prizes, such as an electric guitar, signed by the members of the modern rock band, the Goo Goo Dolls and other, even smaller items, such as runner up prizes.
I’ve not made it a habit, or hobby, to participate in sweepstakes or contents, not that there is anything wrong with them, but seeing how fortunate I’ve been in the past, I should take up the lotto, which I’ve played a grand total of 5 times since its introduction in California many years ago.

Well, let's see. Here are the big ones. I won a trip for 2 to Paris for a week from our local public television station (hotel, airfare, a few meals, a few tours). Two coach tickets anywhere in the US from Nissan a few years ago. And last year, a trip for two to the St. Francis in San Francisco, coach air tickets and two free nights at the hotel, courtesy of Starwood's Win the World contest. (Actually, I won TWO of the prizes, the other being a similar trip to the W Hotel in S.F., but they would only let us keep one prize, but that's another story.)
Other smaller prizes over the years too numerous to mention.
I guess last year was my lucky year. What did I win?
1) Sweden-Los Angeles
Airfare for two(on Delta), hotel for 4 nights and hockey tickets to an LA Kings and also got to meet the Swede Mattias Norström after the game
2) Sweden-Vancouver
Airfare for two on LH/AC, hotel for 3 nights at Westin Bayshore, and hockey tickets to Cancukcs vs Rangers(Messiers first game back in town)
Have been entering every contest involving travel that I run across...keeping the faith but no luck yet.
I haven't had nearly the good fortune of some of the above posters, but here's my only win in the past year, courtesy of FT: I won 500,000 AltaVista (remember them?) Reward Points which converted to around 23,000 ClickMiles. Recently converted them to Starpoints, thanks also to warnings posted here.
