Wait, a conservative think-tank is upset about suppressing science?
Believe me, "sound science" is conservative newspeak for seizing on outlier data agreeing with your position as "proof" and requiring "more study" and 100% assurance before allowing anything opposing your position to be deemed remotely correct. It has nothing to do with science at all.
I mean, this is a group who claims Michelle Malkin as a member, and who published "work" Malkin did claiming that dioxin is good for you.

Color me unimpressed until I see something a little more damning than out-of-context snipits from emails. I'm not saying there isn't a "there there," but in this report there is no there there.

Yeah, same here.
But this fits too well with the modus operandi for anti-science conservatives: demand a single outlier data point be given the same weight as countless studies to the contrary. Seize on that point (or the voice making it) and promote it as completely proving your political position and evidence that your viewpoint is being suppressed and that everyone else is wrong. But for the majority view, demand it provide 100%, absolute, perfect proof before accepting it, and always demand more studies and "better data."

Yep. That is standard operating procedure for them.
