Inauguration Thread

I can't believe no one has started an inauguration thread...like watching the debates, I would think there is so much coverage of this event, it might be fun to hear what everyone is watching/seeing...

Listening to sports talk this morning in Chicago, they had on CBS Chicago's Mike Flannery who set the scene...prediciting more than 1 million in the mall alone...called it "Woodstock South"...sans the drugs and nudity! Great analogy!

I think that at 23 degrees with a wind chill factor of 10 degrees, crowd nudity will not be a problem.

Ya know what they say: "there's always one in every crowd".

Thanks to the OP for starting this thread. Glad to know I'm not the only one trying to multitask by watching TV and doing some work at the same time.

Interesting news: Cheney is in a wheelchair for hurting his back.

TV Commenter: "I wonder if he hurt his back trying to move his heavy-duty super-secret safe?"

Someone did start a thead suggesting this especially for if they could do it live. How long will it take for people to start slobbering about how "inspiring" the speech is? I don't envy Obama. The expectations on him are immense.

Meanwhile the market is tanking again.

Could the former VPs look any more uninterested?? Geesh, you'd think they were going to a funeral. Except Mondale, who just looks happy to be invited!

I heard that Darth injured it while giving the rack an extra turn during a recreational visit to Gitmo.

Wow, would it kill you to be positive about Obama for once? You've become a caricature of the OMNICons.

Love the matching purple scarves on Babs & Georgie Bush I. So cute!

Clinton shouldn't wear the light yellow, though, it washes him out.

We have so many living former Prez and VPs around. They must have great health insurance benefits.

I wish they would show more of the world leaders. I'd like to know who the VIPs and other invited guests are. The TV commentators are just chatting too much.

They've worked together on a couple of humanitarian relief deals, so they must get along OK.

I've seen Babs picking out tomatoes at the Rice Epicurean on San Felipe here in Houston. She seems very nice.
