What class of travel? The AA flight number, as a codeshare on the QF aircraft from DFW, may cost you more $, but you will probably get more AA miles, if that is a consideration.
You will not be able to upgrade with AA miles, SWU, etc as it will be a QF aircraft.

In general base metal (QF in this case) is preferable over codeshare in terms of service. Fare, restrictions and FF miles earned can vary substantially between AA and QF on the same flight.
