I am bumping this thread, looking for more ideas for a one-week foray to Adelaide?
I am looking for (cheap) accommodation suggestions for mid May 2015 (are university dorms an option?) I am also looking for mini-reviews for an overnight trip to Kangaroo Island.
Flights (to/from AKL) are also a big $$ challenge. I am not finding any reward availability (is ADL dominated by Virgin?) Recommendations welcome!

ADL is another story. Its a wasteland from the Star Alliance perspective. The base appears to be dominated by Virgin and Jetstar. ANZ has one flight per day! (from AKL).
More importantly, I asked you for advice for my trip to ADL. I would appreciate you contributing base on the theme of the thread!
