Time Out Sydney monthly magazine would be most "up to date" but it's too breathlessly trendy for me. Lonely Planet Sydney was updated December 2012 but I find its text too small and layout confusing.
So my pick is the DK Eyewitness guide, or better, the condensed DK Eyewitness Top Ten Sydney.
