Look here http://www.aucklandairport.co.nz/
If the 9 hours is during the day worth considering taking the bus to/from the city

For a 9 hour transit I'd go into the city (and sightsee if day time, or sleep in a hotel if night time).

There are no pay lounges for domestic. For international (airside) there is the Emperor Lounge available for 3 hours prior to departure (lounge is closed overnight).

I get in to AKL at 05:30 and depart at 14:30 to Perth.
I was considering going into Aukland for the day but wanted to see what my options were for paid lounges. Im not worried about cost for lounges as my work would re-imburse me for that. Just if there are available options for me.
One more thing...has anyone been to the NZ and or Emperor Lounge? If so which is recommended?

NZ lounge is nice, but food & beverage offering has gone downhill from former glory days. Still better than any lounges in USA. Expect it to be crowded early in the morning, then fairly quiet (peak times for this lounge are early morning and evening). Amenities are okay - showers, a few computers, newspapers and magazines, some tvs.
I haven't been in the Emperor Lounge in its current form. It used to be the Emirates lounge, and then it was better than the NZ lounge. I'm not sure how much survived the change (EK now has a newer and larger lounge) but expect at a minimum it still has the showers and some food and drink. Unsure if it has computers (did as EK lounge) or other amenities.
