They show up but you can't force them to show up. Try delta.com, where you can force them.

Here is what Yahoo has to say about the sale:

July is peak season, not just NA-Europe, but to lots of destinations due to kids' travel schedules. Of course, if traffic continues to sustain severe declines across all the U.S. legacy carriers you might get your wish.

Availability is drying up like the water in the desert - especially in First.

Giving 10-25% discount on award flights

I have a current reservation DTW-BCN that I made in Feb for 2 Y tickets, 120K miles. The 2 weeks before I made this reservation rates were only 50K per ticket. I waited to long to book and was hit with the point increase to 60K per ticket. Now with this promo they are going for 54K.

I wrote an email using their form on nwa.com asking for an adjustment 12K 10% and received this canned response.

“Due to the complexity of travel reservations and the variables involved,
we cannot provide reservation assistance or information via e-mail. We
invite you to visit us online at www.nwa.com or contact a reservation
sales agent at one of the following numbers:

Northwest Domestic Reservations 1-800-225-2525
Northwest International Reservations 1-800-447-4747
WorldPerks Award Reservations 1-800-447-3757

If you are currently outside of the United States or Canada, you may
contact the WorldPerks Customer Service Center at 218-254-7546.

Thank you for choosing Northwest, KLM, Delta and our SkyTeam Alliance
airlines. We value your patronage and consider it a privilege to serve
your travel needs.

Sincerely,

Cheryl A Johnson
WorldPerks Customer Service Center”

I then called WorldPerks Award Reservations and they told me the only way they could give me the 12K points was to cancel the tickets, redeposit the points, for a charge of $200 and rebook the tickets.

Anyone have any ideas or should I just give up?

If you're not platinum elite, then you'll have to pony up for the change fees. I wouldn't pay $200 for 12k of NW miles.
