Newbie Worldperks Question
I know that NW codeshares with KLM, Continental and a host of other airlines, but what is the relationship with Delta? I looked on the website but couldn't get a clear answer. Do flight count towards status?
if its a random DL flight, youll get miles only. if its a NW flight on DL aircraft (codeshare) youll get miles and segments (youll only get segments if its a qualifying fare class)

I am sure DL flights counts towards elite qualifying miles for NW WP. But it appears none of the DL fares qualify for elite qualifying segments as noticed on from this page:
Don't forget that after KLM & Air France complete their merger that NW will be joining Skyteam. Our FF choices will expand dramatically ... hopefully as soon as this summer.
I'm also new to WP. I bought a (very cheap) T class ticket from DL for a flight on NW metal. I put my WP # on the reservation....does anyone know if I will be credited 100% EQM and segments?

Earn WorldPerks Miles on Delta Air Lines
WorldPerks members can earn WorldPerks miles when flying on Delta flights, including those operated by Delta, Delta Express, Delta ShuttleŽ and Delta ConnectionŽ. SongTM flights are not valid for mileage accrual. When your itinerary includes flights operated by Northwest and Delta, you can purchase just one Northwest E-Ticket for your entire trip and earn miles for the whole itinerary in your WorldPerks account.
For reservations on Delta flights, please call Delta Air Lines. Simply provide your WorldPerks number when making your reservation and the miles you earn will automatically be credited to your WorldPerks account. WorldPerks members may also earn Elite Qualifying Miles on Delta flights, as well as class of service and tier bonuses. Segments flown on Delta will not count towards Elite Qualifying Segments in the WorldPerks program.
The mileage accrual structure for WorldPerks members earning on Delta is slightly different than the earning structure on Northwest. Please see the charts below to determine how many miles you will earn when flying on Delta. Note that the current structure for WorldPerks members flying on Northwest does not change.

Could someone with first hand experience confirm this? </font>
You are correct, based upon my experience my flights purchased from DL on DL metal and coded as Y/Y on my activity have not earned an elite qualifying segment.
