I am a new poster on this website, though I fly very often. Great site.
About a month ago, I noticed that my Worldperks account was "locked", meaning I could not log in, book tickets online using my WP account, check my mileage, etc. I have been a WP member for 10 years, had Gold status last year, but this year I am a base member with about 120k miles.
I sent an email from their website enquiring about this and here is the terse response I received from a WP account executive:
"Please be advised that Northwest Airlines does routine reviews on all accounts. This process normally takes between 6-8 weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you."
Has anyone else had their "account locked"? If they need to audit my account, would they REALLY need to lock it? And what do you suspect they are really doing?
Worldperks used to be a great FF program, but it has gone downhill in recent years relative to other carriers.

I've never heard of an account being locked.
Out of curiousity, have you done anything which might of triggered them to audit your account? (i.e. back to back ticketing, hidden city ticketing, throw away ticketing or anything else that the airlines frown on)?
I personally would suggest you call the WorldPerks Service Center and speak to someone.
Last but not least, I personally feel WorldPerks is one of the best programs out there, depending on your travel needs. It works quite well for many people, but doesn't as much for others depending upon their travel needs -- IMHO, WP is great if your travel is primarily US domestic, but it lacks, primarily in the way of upgrades if most of your travel is trans-oceanic.
Best of luck,

Locking is not a routine action and I suspect your travel patterns and/or ticketing practices have raised some question at WorldPerks. If you tihnk anything in your recent past could draw such attention, would think the best thing would be to be proactive and call them before they call you.
As for WorldPerks going downhill... have you seen Co, DL and BA lately? Everything is relative...
