This seems to happen from time to time. I remember back in 2002 or '03, didn't a leg fall into somebodys yard near NY when the undercarrage of a jet opened on final approach? Somebody had climbed up in there hoping for a free ride to the USA, only to get squashed by the landing gear..... Then when the wheels came down for landing...... nastiness.
Sad indeed.

Sad indeed. It is mind boggling to contemplate the desperation of these poor souls. It also raises questions about the security at the originating airport. If a body could get in there so could a bomb.

Sadly, all too often an occurance. You would think that there would be a way to place some sort of guard or door on this to prevent people from entering the wheel well.

Body Found In Wheel Well of ua 858 pvg-sfo today july 19, 2007
Body found in wheel well of passenger jet
Delta: Body found in airplane's wheel well

Did they ever consider how they would exit a secure area if their journey had been successful? One way out is to walk past customs control (if entry is to baggage carousels area) which is not a great idea. The other is to commandeer a vehicle or pretend to be someone working as part of the cleaning staff and hop a ride getting off the ramp area.

Anyone who would try this doesn't know too much about what they are doing. If they can sneak aboard where they are why should they think they won't be able to sneak off when they get here?

THey didn't have any authorization to try enter into the secure areas. I think security need to be stepped it up patrol around the ramp door to made sure the right person who work for airlines and anywhere another companies. I am acknowledgeable where I am follow the rules to keep the badge with me all of the time. When I have go downstairs to the warehouse where I need to get the trolley and anywhere else. I am received SIDA badge from last 3 years ago that I am passed the SIDA test in PHX. I am acknowledge that I follow the rules likely where I work in FLL by 10 years ago.

You're missing the point.

The people managed to sneak onto the airplane. Why should they think they won't be able to sneak off? The fact that they tried a lethal way of doing it says they don't know what they are doing anyway and thus it says they probably don't know our security is a lot tougher than what they sneaked in past.
