Man loses pants in Vail ski lift mishap... with pics!

In a bizarre incident that will surely lead to litigation (or an out-of-court settlement), a skier at Colorado's ritzy Vail resort was left dangling upside down and pantsless from a chairlift last Friday morning. The January 2 mishap apparently occurred after the male skier and a child boarded a high-speed lift in Vail's Blue Sky Basin.

Was this guy going up the mountain in some kind of secret special forces mission? He's going commando!

Note to self: if I ever go skiing, wear underwear. clean underwear with no holes or obnoxious patterns/sayings. It is just my luck to have that kind of thing happen.

Photographer is suspended from his job and will probably be fired.

Odom said his bosses told him that even though he wasn’t working at the time and used his own camera, he had signed a no-compete clause when he was hired, and that the photograph reflected poorly on the company.

Ridiculous!

I suspect Odom's star will rise quickly whether or not he is fired. For starters, we'll probably see him on Leno or Letterman in the next week.

Unfortunately, I think he will eventually fired from his job immediately. Because he is not allows to taking the pictures with someone. I think he is not appropriately for taking the pictures. So otherwise, I think he will look for another new job.

The guy was clearly trying to reenact the famous Reeves and Mortimer "Helicopter Landing Pad" sketch:

The guy's lucky it wasn't full frontal photos. (cold weather would likely not have been flattering)

The mishap ended well enough so I have no problem with someone finding some humor in it.
