CLR Photonics, Inc. -- a world leader in the development of lidar-based remote-sensing solutions designed for airport and meteorological applications -- today announced that its WindTracer® pulsed Doppler lidar system has been deployed at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas in a joint program with the Federal Aviation Administration. This deployment enables the demonstration and evaluation of WindTracer by the FAA as a wind shear detection solution and cost-effective complement to the Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR) system currently in operation at McCarran Airport.
