I didnt expect it to be red, i thought it would be blue.

Has the upper deck been stretched?

Its a shame more airlines havent opted to purchase it.

Of course the main focus is the aircraft itself but I have to say that I like the blue Boeing color scheme a lot more. This'll take some getting used to.

The upper deck has been stretched. I believe there are two sections where the 748 has been 'stretched' compared to the 744 size-wise. see here

It's a crying shame more airlines haven't purchased it. Hopefully it will catch on in the passenger variant.

The hint of orange is an immediate flashback to the Dash 80.

I love the 748, but I hate those colors.

It's utterly amazing how long the B747 has been a viable product, especially considering how it was originally the "red headed stepchild" of Boeing's SST program (per Joe Sutter's book).

If it ain''t Boeing, I ain't going !

I think it's quite ugly. The best way I can describe it is as a stretched-out 747. I think the 747 is the most beautiful AC in the skies, but I really don't like the 748. Perhaps it has something to do with the color scheme they chose.

I'm so glad they're calling this 747 the Intercontinental, to differentiate it from the other 747s that can't fly from continent to continent...er, uh...

Nice photos ^ The livery is a bit boring, but I hope to see some of these birds in the UA fleet.... (One can dream, right )

I know when I visited the Boeing plant and did the tour a couple years ago they had these on the assembly line (I think it was #1 or #3 that they had in line, can't remember though, and the stupid plant won't let you take pictures). At the time, they were saying almost all their orders for this plane were going to be for cargo. (Although I think Korean Airlines was the one they had for the launch customer for the one passenger version that was on the assembly line.)
