Honestly, I have never subscribed to a thread. Maybe I'm unique in that manner.
In the default settings I have, once you post to a thread, you are automatically subscribed and the thread gets dumped in an Unlabeled Subscriptions folder that one can sort and file or leave as is.

But if subscribing is simply a way to bookmark a set of threads, the feature makes it no easier to see if new questions have been asked in a master thread, or if existing discussions have added content.
When threads are listed in a forum, it's incredibly easy to see if new questions have been asked, or if existing discussions have new added content.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. I'll shut it for now.
When I go to MyFlyerTalk, it shows all of the subscribed threads that have been posted to since my last visit (New Subscribed Threads). Clicking on the blue arrow then takes me to the first post in the thread since my last visit, so I can easily see what's new.

Have you never even looked at the "thread subscription" feature? For example, when you post a reply, below the reply area, there are "additional options" which include "thread subscription." For notification type, you can select one of the following:
Do not subscribe
No email notification
Instant email notification
Daily email notification
Weekly email notification
For those who might be traveling to/from NJ: http://www.njtransit.com (including EWR trains, bus, etc)
Thanks, mbreuer. With the exception of Port Authority, for which I've linked all of the individual airport and PATH pages directly, the other links are already listed. However, I just noticed that I have the wrong url encoded for NY Waterway and will fix that now - thanks!
This thread is now being cut loose as a sticky and is now linked at the very bottom of the Welcome Sticky - please continue to post your suggestions here!
The bag storage stuff comes up from time to time, can we add that?

The nyc.com site dropped them from the list of storage spaces saying there was no storage at Newark, but I just called and they said they were still there.
Sorry for the delayed reply - just getting back into town.
Great suggestion, cordelli. Given the current format of the sticky (mostly links), I'd propose one of the following:
1) Split out your post into a new thread with the consolidated info; that thread will then be linked from the sticky.
2) A wiki format might give some more flexibility to include the details you want. The NYC Transportation Wiki is one very long page right now and could, instead, be split into several pages. This luggage storage info could then be placed on another new wiki page.
Depends what you think is easiest to maintain and access.
I think the Wiki is a great place for it, just don't think it gets the amount of traffic the threads do (or else a standard answer would not be to check the wiki )
