Fast Ferry Approved from New Bedford, MA, to Martha's Vineyard
Against a backdrop of intense political pressure and last-minute gamesmanship, the Steamship Authority members voted unanimously on Nov. 15 to approve a two-year, trial high-speed ferry service between Martha's Vineyard and New Bedford, beginning in the spring of next year.
