Without knowing anything about what you like, I recommend McDonalds.

Out list of items of what we don't like is very short, and Im sure we would find something on the menu we like.

In that case, I recommend:

Eventide (seafood/raw bar/best lobster roll in town)
Scales (fancier seafood)
Duck Fat (fancy panini and fries)
Corner Room (Italian)
Blue Spoon (American - neighborhood joint)
Hugo (American/creative and gourmet)
Miyake (best Japanese restaurant in New England, methinks)

multitudes of other options

Warning — never read gfunkdave's responses while eating! I almost choked!

Breakfast — Becky's
Lunch — Gilbert's Chowder House
Dinner — Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster in South Freeport

Thank guys but I'll leave the Japanese meals for my trips to LA.

Eventide is a must-visit, but if you want to get a seat without waiting, show up for brunch/lunch as soon as they open. I would also recommend A Bite Into Maine, which has just as good (if not better) lobster rolls. It's a food truck located in Fort Williams near the lighthouse. If you are looking for something a bit more gastropub-like / trendy, I did enjoy my meal at Fore Street last time I visited.

On the simpler side, I am a very big fan of Otto Pizza...their pepperoni is excellent! (they also have a solid beer selection)

You asked for recommendations and gfunkdave gave you his time and opinion which is probably more valuable than those of us who are diehard visitors as he is a local. No need to be snarky.

You're missing out! Miyake really is outstanding (in a town of excellent restaurants).

We just ate at eventide and it was a 2.5-3 hour wait around 1pm. Do check out the nearby breweries. Food at duck fat also good.

Fully agree - and I don't even know for sure if you're talking about Miyake or Pai Men Miyake.

Trust me I wasn't being snarky but I don't understand why you thought I said you recommended the Japanese restaurant. I appreciate all the recommendations people are giving me.
