Car Rental on Martha's
Help. I know it is expensive to rent a car on Martha's. How do I make it cheaper? Any local agencies worth checking out?
1 week rental, 2 adults 1 kid, late July.

The only thing I could possibly think of to make it cheaper would be to book a weekly rental somewhere on the mainland and ferry it over to Martha's Vineyard. PVD is the closest "major" airport, but I don't know how easy it is to get there if you're coming over without a car (though I think it is doable by bus - Peter Pan maybe?).
I honestly don't know if that would save much or anything over renting on the island, but worth a shot, anyway.
