That did work well. What is this code and can anyone use it?
Stumbled onto it by accident. It worked in TPA last weekend, no questions asked. Let's hope people don't start calling National to find out like they did on the great code discovered last year. Not as good as that code but better than anything else out there right now.
I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand. I made a post on here a few up.
Anyways, Ive been trying at this a few days now with no luck.
I need a car 2/13 7pm - 2/15 11am at HPN.
The HPN rates are crazy, like $50/day. My other problem is I'm under 25. I have used the Big 10 Code (5766241) before at this location in 10/08 just fine, it waived the underage fee. My plan is to use this code again but since the rental is under 3 days no coupons will work, some don't work because its so close to NY metro. As I posted before I could change my rental times to make it right at 3 days, but then I run the risk of getting over charged when I return the car too early. I was also thinking I could rent it from 2/13 10:30am - 2/15 11am, and call ahead on 2/13 letting them know my flights delayed and I can't get into until 7pm.

That is a good code(keeping it under my hat)...I am hoping there is another $40 coupon at the end of the month with the newsletter....

But don't let the full LDW give you a false sense of security. If you get into an accident, and you don't qualify for the requirements of the contract ID, you're going to be responsible for the full amount.

Rate wise, the code is more expensive.
Ditto on that. When I was under 25, I used a bunch of various university contract IDs but always bought my own rental car insurance from TravelGuard. I believe back then it was around $8 a day for $30,000 of coverage.

Or, just get the premium rental insurance from AMEX. It only covers damage to the rental, but there's no deductible, and it acts as primary insurance, and just $19.95/rental, no matter how long a duration.

Now here's a question. If you take that rate and don't qualify for it, then National invalidates the LDW. But if you fired a claim at your CC, wouldn't they say by booking on that rate you technically accept the LDW and therefore can't use the CC coverage?

I would agree with that interpretation, and the CC company would as well. So it's risky.
More expensive? Is this dependant upon the location your renting from? I used this to quote a rate at MSP and it's actually the lowest total rate I could find out of just about all the other ID's. Dates I looked at were 3/29-4/5.
5760333/NF1982JDD with rate code BEST (although I'm not sure it helped any) = $235.90
Next best was the GM code 5000226 @ $238.18
Costco came in at a whopping $605.91 which was the same as just about every other contract ID.
EC wasn't much better at just about $100 less than Costco.
Just curious, but does anyone know if 5760333 requires any kind of proof?
