2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Review/Ride Report

http://www.carrentingreviews.com/201...okee-latitude/

IFAR
21/28

PROS:

- Avant garde styling
- Low step-in height
- Rear seat comfort/legroom
- Interior quality, IP cluster, center stack

CONS:

- Big B-pillar blind spots
- Buzzy 4-cyl engine
- Not as athletic as the Escape
- 9-speed transmission benefits?

CONCLUSION: The Liberty is but a distant memory. Great remake, but not quite as good as the Ford Escape.

I wonder if they will only be ordering the Cherokee in this trim or if they will also be getting higher trimmed versions? This vehicle seems like it has potential if it had more features.

Well I checked out a fully loaded Cherokee (MSRPing for an incredible $40K) at a Jeep booth recently, and it was super nice.

We may see differently optioned Cherokees, but I think majority will probably be Latitude trim, unfortunately.

Yuck, it's so ugly though. Looks alright but I don't think it's anything I would go out of my way to rent.

Why does everyone hate on the Liberty so much? I liked it a lot (and so did the girls too, which is really the most important thing of all).

Then again, everyone except me and a few select others hated on the Impala. I still won't go near a Captiva, at least

Was checking out some in Tulsa this morning, and noticed one did not have the Latitude badge on it. I checked the barcode, and it was the Sport trim.

Sport trim is the base trim. Most of the differences are cosmetic, though the Sport trim doe not have steering wheel audio controls.
