Looked like a Dodge/Chevy dealership with lot's of Avengers and Malibus/Impalas and other token cars sprinkled around.
Premium: bunch of Chrysler 300s, Ford Tauruses
Glad I chickened out of renting for M Day weekend. I figured nothing I'd like would be there, especially convertibles. Although I will say the National rate for this weekend was less than half of Hertz's. Hope rates go back down next weekend.
I am Emerald member and will come to pick up the car in DCA this Thursday night. We need a 7-seat minivan or SUV. Do you think it is easy for us to find one in EA aisle?
If not, maybe we have to prepare a backup plan.

As with all things, YMMV. In the regular Emerald Aisle, pickings might be scarce. If you need a 7-seat minivan or SUV, then you would be safer booking that particular class via Emerald Reserve, but also keeping a backup EA reservation.
Then if you find what you're looking for on the EA, cancel the Emerald Reserve reservation. Otherwise, cancel the EA reservation and go with the Emerald Reserve vehicle.
**You will need a smartphone so you can access your reservation in the garage.

+1
I used this exact strategy a few weeks ago with an ES & Premium reservations. If you have a smartphone, keep the confirmation emails and it's a quick click of the link within the email to cancel the reservation you no longer need. Took me all of 20 seconds while sitting in the car before I left the garage. Do make sure you cancel the one you don't want before going to the booth, so your rental doesn't get attached to the wrong resv.

Forgot to mention on Friday morning, saw a car tucked away on the Specialty line that looked suspiciously like the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, but forgot to check the barcode. No way it can be the new Santa Fe, as it's not due until late summer at dealerships, right?
EA / ES - Impalas, Malibus, Altimas, 200s, nothing special. Had an Alamo reservation for a full-size, was offered my choice of an Impala, Altima or Malibu.

Maybe it was a Mazda CX-5? I know those are on the street. I think the '13 Escape won't be out till fall.
I'm usually pretty good about differentiating cars, but this recent series of redesigned small crossovers is starting to look the same to me...
