- No 1-2-F credit for options on 1-day rental (SXM, etc)
- If applying 1-2-F coupons for a rental, as least one day must be paid in order for a National credit to be gained; but at least two- to get any 1-2-F points for anything associated with that rental!
- On longer rentals , 300 points are earned every 4 days
2018-2019: August 23, 2018 through February 28, 2019 - coupons valid until June 13, 2019
2017-2018: August 24, 2017 through February 28 2018, with 12F coupons valid until June 15 2018
2016-2017: August 25, 2016 through February 28 2017
2015-2016: August 2015 through end January 2016, with 12F coupons valid until June 15th 2016

My impression from 2015 program: by registering this way, one may be foregoing the 300-point referral by some other person. If you think I'm wrong on this point, please quote verbatim from T&C as to WHO may refer WHOM (i.e. existing EC member or a member already registered for the program)

Why would registering yourself for the promotion prevent you from receiving referral credit? The referral credit only applies to referring a non-Emerald Member to join National's Emerald Club and complete a rental with National during the promotion period.

As part of the promotion, additional bonus points can be earned through both rental and non-rental activities, including:
Referring up to 10 friends to join the Emerald Club and register for the "One Two Free" promotion. To refer a friend, members registered for "One Two Free" can visit www.emeraldclub.com/Free to share a referral link via email, Facebook or Twitter. Participating members receive 300 bonus points when a referred friend becomes an Emerald Club member, registers for the promotion and completes a qualifying rental by Jan. 31, 2016.

I received a 12F 2016 preregistration email on July 11 (for the promo to start "this fall").

Then you are one of the few or only. Haven't received anything nor has a anyone anywhere else heard "boo" from National about this years promotion.
Reached out to EC customer service and they were as much in the dark about what is going on as the rest of us.
Promotion started 20 August 2015 last time, that date is next week so maybe National is just skipping pre-registration?
Quite honestly am up in the air about the whole thing. Racking up free days is always a good thing; but since cannot use them locally aside from airports their value can be limited.

Just got off the horn with EC customer service *again*, and was told the promotion will start on 20 August 2016.
Do with this information what you will. The CS rep seemed a bit uncertain (couldn't tell if she was one of those working from home or out of the country), so we'll have to wait nine days and see what happens.
If National picked only certain persons to get pre-registration, that would sort of tick me off. Do enough rentals from them and have remained loyal to at least deserve a bit of courtesy IMHO.
Or perhaps by eliminating pre-registration National cuts back on "heavy users" by limiting the number of days available to rack up points.
