Angry National is sold out at jfk this weekend!
This is what i get when trying to book.

Our apologies...

National is completely sold out of vehicles at:

New York - Jfk Airport from 06/21/2012 to 06/24/2012

I logged on and found cars (it helps to be Executive Elite). With my corporate rate, I can get a full size there for $50 a day this weekend.

This is when it's good to be Executive Elite - guaranteed car availability. Though it's currently $56.85/day for Full Size.

I think the only thing worse than not having a reservation is having a reservation. In a similar situation several years ago, I had a one-day rental for a midsize to drive out to NJ to play golf, just me and my golf clubs. They tried to give me a minivan. Waited a little while and had to settle for a Jeep Cherokee.
