30K miles AA offers for Mastercards and Amex gone (not really)

The 30,000 American Airlines miles offers for its Mastercards and American Express card are gone, though the 25,000 miles offers are still available. The 30,000 American Airlines miles offers for its Visa cards are still online. I suspect Citibank may cause those to disapppear, too, so if you want them, do it now. The offers can be found on my website below in the Credit Card section, Annual Fee Cards page, though the fee is waived for the first year.

Links for the 30K miles just changed from what they were. Current link for the MC and AMEX is:

http://creditcards.citicards.com/usc...86E2E75A14A4C6

For the Visa it is:

http://creditcards.citicards.com/usc...F82DC2BF8CBE3F

There does seem to be some intermittent problems with loading the MC application site.

The link I had on my website was http://www.fly5.citicards.com. The links from the email sent by AA on April 20, 2009, were
http://link.aa.com/r/N2RQVH/XHC3Z/NJ...JZK/JICT9/OS/h,
http://link.aa.com/r/N2RQVH/XHC3Z/NJ...JZK/WLY78/OS/h, and
http://link.aa.com/r/N2RQVH/XHC3Z/NJ...JZK/40FYM/OS/h.

None of these links work for me.

Do you have different links? I do hope so, and hope you will share them.

Thanks.

This link takes me to the 30K offer for Citi MasterCard and AmEx:
http://creditcards.citicards.com/usc...s5/default.htm

This link takes me to the 30K VISA offer:
www.fly9.citicards.com

If I remember correctly, the older link to the MasterCard and AmEx offer was fly3.citicards.com - that one isn't working for me any more.

Gary,

Those links have been dead for a week or so. The links I posted above are the most current, as far as I know.

The September AA in flight magazine says the MC 30k bonus is on until 12/31/09.

A 5,000-mile fine for the OP! Can't take these startling headlines and jet lag, too!

Perhaps someone can alter the thread title...

Trust me, the "false alarm" pales in comparison to the TONS of awesomely good info found on your site.

With regards to Citi AA links, you should also check the sticky devoted to that at the top of the Other Credit Cards Forum. The links in there tend to be updated as fast as anywhere else on FT (and info about Citi AA is scattered otherwise on FT, with several separate threads in the Other Credit Cards forum -- one on 60 days between apps, one on 30000 miles, one on Visa -- plus threads in the AA forum from time to time too. The sticky, though, summarized the main points, and is updated with the latest links.

You should also always try to find the "simplest" form of each link. That's because the simple ones redirect, and may redirect to newer ones automatically, while the complex ones are the result of the indirection, and thus may die from time to time (once the redirection goes to a new place). For example, the link to list for 30k Visa is fly9.citicards.com, not something that is 100 characters long (which is where you get to once you try to go to fly9.citicards.com).

Morning all,

This link takes me to the 30K VISA offer:
www.fly9.citicards.com

I tried the above link to apply for a Visa Personal AA card, and I get basically a blank screen. The Visa Business works just fine, however.

Anyone have another link for the 30k Visa. Perhaps the Visa Personal got pulled?

thanks

Probably just a temporary glitch in their system. Check back later in the day and it will probably be fine.

I've tried the visa link above and I also get just the banner with a blank screen.
When I try the MC/Amex link it errors out when I get to the existing customer link. Anyone had any luck in the past couple days with getting these 30K apps to go? Thanks much. toni
