I clarified with Chase today about additional cardholders. They say the 2.5k miles go to the named additional cardholder, not the primary on the joint account.

In the Terms & Conditions (for Both CO & UA Offers...):

Limit one personal checking account-related award/premium per customer, per calendar year. YMMV Obviously.

I did mine through the website, and as reported above, got stuck at entering the coupon code. I continued anyway, but was surprised the account opening process did not ask for my OnePass number. When I called to inquire, a very uninformed agent couldn't answer my questions whether I participate in this offer and told me to contact Continental Airlines! Wow.

Can someone briefly explain the steps? At what point do you provide your OnePass number? Did anyone open it online and got the miles?

Thanks!

Can you qualify only for the checking account offer? (10,000 miles). I do not have a chase account.

I already have Chase Continental airlines visa account.

When I applied for that card, I added additional user on the app. When my first statement closed I got 30k miles posted to my Onepass account.

I thought I would share how (and how soon) my miles posted from this offer compared to last year. They seem to have made improvements.

This Year:
02/02/2009 Opened account (and ititiated DD from my work)
03/02/2009 Chase Checking Enrollment Bonus 11,000
03/04/2009 Chase Checking Enrollment Bonus 10,000

Last Year:
7/28/2008 Opened account (and initiated DD from my work)
8/25/2008 Chase Checking Enrollment Bonus 7,500
** Note that I believe this was supposed to be for the Debit Card Bonus, but I listed how it came out on my statement
9/6/2008 Chase Debit Card Enrollment Bonus Miles 2,500
9/8/2008 Chase Checking Enrollment Bonus 10,000
09/24/2008 Chase Checking Enrollment Bonus 1,000
