I believe this was asked about NW. Is this true for all airlines, particularly CO? I am DL PM now until Feb 2009, but did not requalify. Will CO match my expiring status good through Feb 2010?
CO matched my NW Plat to CO Plat earlier this month.
I had to send (sent PDF files via email)
1. Copy of my NW Plat Card (card was valid until Feb 2009, but I had qualified for 2009, not received card yet)
2. NW Statement (just print of the website page)
3. CO account number

Kidding... honestly I dont know if they will anything at all as this is not achieved by the traveller in question so doesnt show any signinficant business value for any airline.
You never know though !
COInsider has commented on this issue. Continental will not match 3P (Premier Associate). The status match program for OnePass is limited to "earned" elites.
Per the first post in this thread, Delta matches up to their middle tier, so a BA Silver, which is their middle tier, should get Delta's middle tier. When your cousin sends in the fax requesting a status match, include a list of all flights taken in 2008 to earn that BA Silver status. You should be able to get this from your BA account on their website. Indicate why you want the status match. It helps if you keep it short and positive, and list something real, like a job change or a location change.
I have searched around but I would like to get a definitive answer as to if Us Air will status match. If so, from which airlines, and what is the process to do it.

I am United Premier and I believe I will be losing my status (and therefore * silver) soon. Are there any airlines that I can status match to for free or a way to keep the star alliance preferred?
I don't want to do a "buy a fast track deal" as the only airline I anticipate flying on over the next 5 months are either United or US Airways. Just wondering if there is something I can do besides having to earn Preferred status on US Airways and * alliance from scratch this year.
Programs: US Plat, DL Gold, WN when needed, PC Plat, SPG Gold, National Exec

Thanks.
They do not match. Instead, they have the Try Preferred program.
Trying to Determine the Best timing for my Status Match Request
I'm currently Worldperks platinum elite, but Delta has been setting off bombs to blow up the value of my relatively new top-tier elite status. However, in order to use up all of my Worldperks miles before they become nearly worthless to me I've booked a bunch of award trips throughout the year (which Delta has now partially blown up also with their announcement that they are taking away my free Platinum award changes and redeposits of miles on March 1, right at the start of my first full status year as a Platinum ).
The best match for me as far as the array of flights offered is UA. If I go for AA the disadvantage will be that I'll have to book some trips to Taiwan and small cities in the NW US on other airlines. On the other hand I have a large stash of AA miles that I presume would be easier to use if I were a higher tier elite next year.
My question when exactly would likely be the best time to ask for a Status Match?
I understand most other airlines have seen the Carnage over at Delta - NW and are being generous in their status match offers right now. But if I request this now, I'm going to have an extremely difficult time maintaining my status for next year; I just don't have the time to do many paid flights until next year.
