Yesterday 10k at another bank they traded me for cash $$$ im not even a customer there
deposited 18k today at one time at my bank, bought them all pizzas, wings, etc
Bank Manager said "Im going to be cursing your name all day long, but you have a good one"
she was joking i keep buying them lunch, their more than happy to take them : )
Yesterday was my biggest day, $5K. (big deal right?) I roll them to the bank during my lunch break (about a 1/2 mile using a roller bag). I don't stand in line anymore I go to the business center. Trouble is the business center is downstairs. I don't consider myself a weakling but I almost lost it on the stairs carrying the dumb thing down two flights. Not sure if I want to try any more then 5K at a time. I can see myself falling down the stairs, boxes breaking open at the bottom with coins all over the place. Maybe even break a leg at the bank.

I too have a lower credit limit.... add on college tuition that I paid today...
College tuition is due tomorrow, which also come along with refund of the extra financial aid. In honor of getting something for nothing, Im going to use my extra subsidized loan from Uncle Sam to start buying some coins. I only think its proper to use Uncle Sam to buy some coin for my benefit! Ill report back after its deposited in the bank and tell you how it goes. I dont think im going to have an issue with depositing coins seeing as how i still go to the bank i used to work at, and they have five branches in my area. Gotta get on the wagon before the wheels fall off.
You might think so...but the opposite has actually happened. Not they can (and do) report transactions of LESS than $10,000. The "it has to be greater than $10,000" rule is not true anymore.
a teller can file a report on any transaction. It all depends on the teller and the banks policies and procedures.

my friend and i refer to this and (mostly) the citibank program as our personal TARP, though citi has since shut both of us down, but not after getting 5 figures of value.
OMG...im sure the mint shorted me by 1 box and didn't realize it till i got home from the bank!! what should i do??? i counted 9 boxes and the teller at the counted 9 boxes just called to verify as well. the packing list says 10 for this specific box. and i ordered 4K which came in 2 boxes. The other box has the right amount. i brought the entire box to the bank and opened it there so i definitely did not take any out. anyone have this experience? argh this sucks.
what am i suppose to tell the mint when i call? i can't prove that i just didn't take one box out by accident....

Aaron,
I'm not sure to tell you, but I also had a problem with my order. Three of the four boxes were correct. The fourth, instead of containing $25 in coins, had 75 sheets with eight presidents each. I called them (They are open until midnight, regardless of what the info sheet says.) and told them what happened. The woman was absolutely wonderful. She recorded the mistake on my account, advised me to send them back and ask for a replacement and mentioned that the mint would reimburse me for shipping. Frankly, she didn't even question whether I had made the whole thing up. Hopefully, the rest of the process will run as smoothly.
BTW, I don't want to freak anyone out here. The fact that there have been a few problems recently aren't indicative of the shipping overall. The 105 pages of this thread so far have indicated that the mint's customer service has been quite good.

well at least you had your coins still..i don't have mine they're all in the bank!!! I'm thinking about going back and withdrawing those coins...for proof. also, i noticed that some of the boxes were not NA but the presidents!! I ordered all NA...
Edit: If this happens i just realized that you can verify that it is short by the weight stated on the UPS label that is on the box. My label says 43.65 LBS and each box of coins weighs about ~4.6 according to my scale...so im definitely short
Tonight while picking up my shipment at the UPS facility I said the driver must hate me. Lugging the box up to my door, ringing/knocking and then having to fill out the Shipment Notification EACH time. I am never home when they arrive. But since the UPS place is close to work and a bank, it works for me.
One of the employees gave me the HFPU (Hold For Pick Up) instructions. You change your ship to address to:
Comicwoman
(xxx) 555-1212 (phone number)
UPS Terminal Address
City, ST ZIP
Your address must appear on the second line or UPS will not be able to notify you. Again, they hold for five days.

At your rate, you're earning around $22k per year at your almost full-time job (with the money earned being limited to non-necessity spending). Just to put it in perspective...
How do you figure $22k per year? If he's bought $260k on a card that theoretically gives 1.5% cash back, he will have netted $3900. Say he does $1M in a year...that's still only $15k.
