The best I've found in the Citi postings on FT has been for 30K after $750 spend within 4 months.
Well, I'd argue that the 30K up front bonus is probably the best for most.
Only cuz I fund citi accounts every couple churns, thus very easily making that $10K spend requirement, I'd like the higher absolute bonus. Just be sure to get the the additional retention bonus thrown on as well if you go this route.

Correct, I am funding a citi bank account. I am confused by what AAdvantage number has to do with it though. I'm funding just regular old Citi accounts, they have nothing to do with my AAdvantage number... only my 'credit card' has that. Were you confusing 'funding a bank account' with 'opening a bank account under the 20K AAdvantage points' promotion mentioned in another thread? In the case of the later, yes, you can only technically get that 20K bonus once. And a hell of a lot of work to get it -- and you've got to wait nearly a year for it to materialize.
My order I placed last Monday is now listed as shipped through the mint order status page and the tracking number is live with UPS. So, seems like I've just seen some anomalous behavior with AmEx/Mint on how they process holds to charges. The hold on my AMEX is still released and no charge has shown up on my statement-- I expect the charge will show in a day or two...

That's the program I thought you were referring to in your earlier post.
I'm spending $10-20K per month so meeting the bonus spend isn't a problem.
I did a test run of 2000 coins (6 President and 2 NA) but I was shorted and only received 7 of the boxes (missing 1 NA).
The packing list from the Mint says all 8 boxes were shipped. I called them but now they need to mail me paperwork and begin an investigation.
Wondering if anyone else went thru this?
Not too happy with my experiences so far...
A few weeks ago, I ordered $1,500 of $1 coins but received them all in $0.25 coins. To make it worse, they were in bags, not rolls.
I called the Mint. I was told to ship the coins back (which they would reimburse the shipping cost) and fill out a form sent via snail-mail and return it.
Following others' suggestions, I decided to take the quarters to a local bank branch and pour them into a coin-counting machine instead. I later (several days) did receive the return form, but I didn't need it anymore. If needed to, like in your case when the shipment was shorted, the letter said they would take several weeks to investigate and then re-ship the order. Good luck.

Reason: Typo
Second update: I ordered 20 boxes of NA coins on Thursday and they all shipped today. This is by far the quickest processing I have experienced from the Mint!
BTW, the package was still shipped via next day air and has a signature requirement.
how many boxes of coins can the big packages hold? I've never ordered more than 1k at a time (max 4 boxes inside the package) but recently put in an order for 10 boxes...so should i expect 2 or 3 of the larger size boxes?

Each package can hold up to 10 small boxes. So your 10 boxes should come in one package.
By the way, I don't think we need to post an update every time an order is shipped. If we are here discussing it, we probably all have orders outstanding. So we would all know our order status by tracking them easily. The number of days it takes for each of our orders to ship may vary by several days, but comparing to the weeks of wait last year and earlier this year, we can just wait the extra days. Just my personal opinion.
anyone else noticed the Mint site is a lot faster?
for example after you'd click on track order, and have your orders listed when clicked on them to show them it was taking forever for the orders to appear, now it's super fast

I only included details about ow my order was sipped, because there was some concern in posts made last week that the US Mint was changing the way it ships coins and that free upgrades to next day air shipping would not be given.
As I made a deposit last Friday, the teller at my local SunTrust bank told me that beginning July 1 (today), there would be a handling charge of $5.00 per 2000 dollar coins, to offset their Brinks charges. She said it was discussed in a meeting they'd had, but it seemed to be a policy that was being applied much more broadly than just locally.
I'd be interested to hear if any other SunTrust customers have encountered this new fee (or not).
Even with the fee, $12.50 for 7,000 Skymiles and 2,000 MQMs (what I earn for a $5,000 charge on my Delta Amex) is probably worth doing, but I just called a branch of a new regional bank near my office and they said there'd be no charge for large coin deposits. So when I get my next delivery I'll use it to open a checking account there.

I suggest the next time you go there you tell them you will immediately close all your accounts.
