Fly the concorde JFK-LHR for $1259 courtesy of Randy

Step 1) Buy 21 subscriptions to Inside Flyer magazine for a total cost of $1258.95. Get a total of 52500 starwood points.

Step 2) Transfer the 52500 starwood points into a Qantas account. One starwood point is worth 2 QF points, so with the starwood bonus, 52500 starwood points becomes 125,000 Qantas points.

Step 3) Redeem 125,000 Qantas points for a roundtrip ticket on the concorde. Enjoy.

Don't know if it's true or not but the math is slightly off. To get the 125,000 miles you need 62,500 points (2,500 bonus starwood points per sub) or 25 subs, at $60 each, which is $1,500. Still a great deal!

Runningshoes, don't forget that for every 20K points transferred they throw in a 5k bonus, which would be 10K quantas points. The math works out.

The math looks OK to me. To get the 62,500 Starpoints, you only need 52,500 Starpoints! When you transfer them to a FF program, you get a 5,000-Starpoint bonus per 20,000 transferred:

http://www.starwood.com/preferredgue..._checkRoc.html

"For every 20,000 Starpoints, Starwood will award you with an additional 5,000 Starpoints, which will automatically be added to your transfer—making a free flight that much closer."

Only question is can one use Quanta points for a Concord award? Not sure as I couldn't find anything on the Quantas site to indicate this.

Either way the InsideFlyer/*woods promo is the best mileage deal out there at the moment. Thanks Randy!

Just called Quantas. They said they do not have a BA Concorde award, and never have. Is this correct?!

I don't see any Concorde awards here either:

OK, so if you can't fly the Concorde JFK-LHR, you can just be stuck in regular ol' FIRST on any US-Europe route BA flies, using QF program for $1260 for 21 subscriptions.

According to posts in the Qantas forum, the Concorde is grouped with first class in terms of awards. Qantas does not have a "concorde award." However, if you redeem the 10,000 miles award (allowed 10,000 flight miles) for 125,000 miles for first class on BA, you can fly the concorde.
