To wit, they're UC seats recline 180 degrees into a flat bed. The amount of area around each seat is on par with any 1st class seat. They have a massage table and a masseuse, a bar area along with all the other amenities that go along with the usual 1st class seats.
If you can recommend another area to post this comparison, I would appreciate it. Yes, I am a Newbie....

Thanks

As your question VS vs. AF has nothing to do with frequent flyer programs, you should post your question in a different forum to get better responses, for example Travel Buzz

THANKS.

I'VE BEEN FLYING FOR 25 YEARS AND AM AWARE OF A LOT OF AIRPORT CODES (WHICH I AM OVERLY PROUD OF) BUT UNLESS YOU'VE BEEN TO, LOOKED AT OR HAD SOME INTEREST IN, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO KNOW EVERY ONE OUT THERE. SO LET ME PRAISE YOU FTERS (ANOTHER ONE) FOR HELPING US NEWBIES OUT WITH YOUR SHORTCUTS. DEFINETLY GOES FOR AIRLINES. CUZ WITH THESE NEW ALLIANCES SO MANY COME INTO PLAY. (I HAVE MORE TROUBLE WITH AIRLINE SHORTCUTS THAN ANYTHING CUZ I BEEN FLYING ON THE SAME ONES FOR TOO LONG.

A small friendly hint: You might want to turn off your Caps Lock key before posting. Posts which are all in capitals are very difficult to read, which detracts from what you have to say. They also have the appearance of shouting, which some may consider rude.

Is there a Forum for swapping things?

I remember there used to be a forum where one could swap or simply give away travel-related certificates. I thought that it was across the board, and not airline/hotel specific. But I can't seem to find it. Did this forum close? Thanks for any help. I have something to give away but can't find the right spot!

The forum is called Coupon Connection. It was intended as a service to Flyertalk regulars. It became plagued by lots of people who joined flyertalk just to try to trade on Coupon Connection, which is not the purpose of Flyertalk. The folks who run Flyertalk made the decision to restrict access to it to members who met minimums in terms of length of membership and number of posts. The last I heard, it was 90 days and 90 posts.

What’s that? Well, if you think there is a miles or points offer that the entire FlyerTalk community should know about, then this is the place to post it!

Have a lot of miles and points in a bunch of programs and don’t know what to do with them all? Ask away!

Just getting started? Want to know what can work for you, don’t be shy ask here.

If you have a question about a specific airline or program, you should post in that airline or programs own forum.

Have a general travel related question that doesn’t have to do with miles or points? The TravelBuzz! forum is perfect for this.

Also, FlyerTalk now has an Idine Forum. Please post your Idine questions there.

Thanks and regards,

Good Morning: I am brand new to FlyerTalk - like 10 mins.
Would somone be able to tell me if there is a way to find out about flights using FF miles for DL via this site vs. the phone?
I am not even sure if I am filing out this post correctly. Is there a quick way to find out about the site w/out surfing?
Cheers,
Kathie13

Welcome to FT. The best way to find information out is by surfing through the site. Under Miles and Points, you'll find a Skymiles forum. I'd recommend searching in there for information, and/or asking a very specific question. (But people may bite a little if you haven't searched first)

Hint: Search is in the Upper right hand corner of the forum information

Hi All

Hi, this is a great resource you have here. I've been looking around for days and thought I would jump in and start talking. I am using your searcher to find great info. Thanks!

Best frequent flyer program

We have become increasingly frustrated with the Delta Skymiles program, which we accumulate points for by use of our American Express card. We need some guidance on what program and credit card would be a better alternative. We live in Phoenix, AZ, and we have most major airlines here. We have a UAL Mileage Plus account and a US Airways (America West) account. Which of these airlines is most generous with flight availabilty for ff miles? Which are the best credit cards that are associated with these programs? If these ff programs are not very good, what other programs, and associated credit cards, are better? We go to Billings, MT quite a bit, and that is primarily served by Delta and UAL. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Question Hello and best FF program question

Hello to everyone on the forum! I've been reading stuff for a couple o' days and thought I'd join in the discussions...
My name is Kent, I live in Nagoya, Japan with my wife and daughter. I'm from North Carolina, USA and travel there at least once a year, in addition to occasional travel for vacations. I'd like to increase my home visits to 2 or 3 times a year.
My wife and I are trying to figure out which of the FF programs would suit us best. The flights between here and home are pretty long (12 to 14 hours), and can earn some good miles. If we can figure out a good strategy, we'd like to travel more often and be able to upgrade to more comfy seats. I'll admit that all the different programs, each with pages of fine print, are confusing me. I don't really understand how to choose... One thing worth noting is that I have been very disappointed with NorthWest's "customer service", especially flight crews, but they tend to have the cheapest ticket prices.
I'd truly appreciate any wisdom and advice from those who have it to share!

Thank you,

Kent

btw, is this post in the right place? Should I have started a new thread?

IMHO, you are in the correct forum but you should just start a new thread. Title it something like "best FF program from Japan>No. Carolina" and ask about mileage earning opportunites (credit cards & other promotions).

Value of Elite Status

I am a CO PLT ELT member flying over 180 segments per year. I have been loyal to CO because I do use my miles for vacation travel. Just received a notice from CO that 2008 minimum miles for reward travel will be 50K miles per domestc ticket. That is ridiculous. Add that to the exisiting 500K deductions for international and quickly you realize that the amount you pay for being loyal is not on par with how the airlines "reward" that loyalty.
I use EWR as primary airport. Any recommendations for airlines that reward their frequent flyers (not just credit card, hotel, mortgaes, etc) on par with the travel?

road warrior 201 there is an active thread running on the value of elite status in the CO Forum. You might want to pose your question there or start a new thread in the CO forum if that thread isn't suitable.

I'm thinking there are other CO flyers who are in your same situation and might be able to lend you some advice.

Good luck.
