Foodland (Ontario) is offering 200 AirMiles for $150 gift card purchase. They're the same cards good for Sobeys (and Fresh Co), just a different logo. I use these gift cards to purchase other gift cards at my Sobeys. The cashiers do not bat an eye at this loophole for some reason.

Paper applications from a Canadian resident are charged 50 CAD instead of 50 USD online... If you're willing to wait an extra few weeks

Although you might want to see if the Canada post strike notice goes through... Otherwise it might be a long wait to save twelve bucks per application

Taking a survey: what is your shortest time between churns of the Marriott cc? I'd like to squeeze one more app in between now and my 6 month hiatus starting in late Oct. Can it be done!!

i cancelled in January, was declined on an app in May. Applied again in August and was approved
