[Expired]1,400 United Miles for only 99 cents

Long time lurker, first time poster. Did a search but I couldn't find this anywhere. I recently applied and received the Chase United card with 55k bonus miles. Was looking to pad the account with extra miles and noticed that in the shopping portal you can receive 1,400 miles for activating a NY Times digital subscription. The first 4 weeks it is only 99 cents, during which you can easily cancel by calling 877-698-5635. If you forget to cancel your subscription will be extended at $15 every four weeks but the 1,400 miles posted for me within 2 weeks both times I placed an order. Both times we padded my wife's united mileage account. Each time I used a Chase credit card, one in my name and one in my wife's. Activated one digital subscription with her email address and one with mine. I can't think of an easier way that's out there right now to add some miles !

Thanks for the info, but I don't see an option to get the first 4 weeks for $0.99? I only get 4 options as follows:
Daily Delivery: $8.05 per week
Weekender: $5.65 per week
Sunday Only: $4.10 per week
Weekday: $4.05 per week

You need to select the option for the "digital subscription", not the reguarl mail delivery.

How long ago did you subscribe/cancel?
"Please note these terms & conditions: New subscriptions will be eligible one time only. Not eligible on subscriptions cancelled prior to 120 days."

I was gonna post that^ also looks like you need a prior registration of your card which can take up to 72 hour

"Add Card
Register up to five credit or debit cards to automatically earn award miles by shopping with participating retailers. Please allow 48 to 72 hours in order for your card to become active. Once your card is in active status, it is eligible to earn".

*If you received and activated your MileagePlus Visa credit card on or before 10/01/2011, your card was automatically enrolled in the MileagePlus Shopping program and should already appear in the Registered Cards section above. If you received and activated your card after that date you will need to register your card.

While I was offered the 1400 mile deal, my gf's account was offered only a 900 mile version. Changing rapidly or targeted based on MP balance or linked CC status maybe? Both of us are non-elite.

$.99 is a small risk to take in the face of small print that so far has been shown to not be accurate.

You need to choose a zip code with no delivery. I randomly chose 03310 and it then gave me the 99c option.

Also, you can click https://www.mileageplusshopping.com/...s/bc_16___.htm and select the special offer which takes you to the 99c page

1400 miles if you have UA Mileage Explorer Card, otherwise is 900 miles.

I guess MP card members are getting 1,400miles, otherwise 900miles.

I don't have the MP card and was offered the 1400 miles. I used to have the old CO card (>1 year ago) maybe it still has me tagged in the database? I'm no longer elite.

Thanks OP!
