Thanks OP. Easy 1400 miles and I'm looking forward to reading the NY Times for the next month.

The online account page still directs you to call their customer service for cancellation.

Can you confirm that you did cancel your subscription without calling in?

Sorry you are right. The first account I cancelled by calling. This was before I noticed that you could view your account info on nytimes.com . On their website, when you log into your account it says "cancel this product" and I assumed that you could cancel there just be clicking. Hadn't done it yet since I don't have to until 3/4/13 so I figured I would keep the my access to the site for a little while longer. I guess you will have to call the number to cancel, but I can tell you it was very easy to do so - no heavy sales push or long hold time.

If you cancel at the end of four weeks, you will not get the miles.
No, I think they are talking about a 2nd sub. Won't work the 2nd time because you cancelled the first time <120 days. JMHO.

Also on the WN shopping portal, for 1500. Probably something similar on most of the usual shopping sites.

Interesting....I am going to use my UA credit card for the dining, so that should give me at least another 40 miles when my statement closes.
