If the idea is in more than one thread, then there are more areas in which one can see the idea. Which means more exposure to the idea, which equal more chances for people to see complaints about bloggers/ their ideas/ their influence/ affiliate revenue.
Except, that's what the thread morphed into and not what it was intended for. The premise was to conduct a witch hunt on bloggers that the OP felt were killing deals to somehow expose them as a cancer to the FT community. By the end, including your thesis nailed to the church door, it turned into a discussion of whether or not bloggers were manning the Grassy Knoll. That, IMO, is a completely different thread and one we seem to have multiple times per year. It offers no insight into specific deals that people suspect were shut down by bloggers and only serves as a forum to personally attack those that dare (over)expose loopholes to the masses.

Having another thread where people can spew their vitriol will pop up soon enough. The end results will be exactly the same. Circle of life.

If missing out on a mistake fare is the biggest problem if your life then you should consider yourselves very lucky.
How many more threads discussing United, American, SWA, Hilton, SPG, National, etc. do we need? We have a wide range of topics on FT, why can't bloggers be a topic of discussion? As soccerguy985 pointed out they are a business which relates to the travel industry. Seems to me the collective group should be treated the same as any other business discussed here.
