AirMilesMart
For those of you who may have accumulated a few extra Delta or USAirways miles or Starwood points using AirMilesMart.com, it appears they may be defunct. I have tried to contact them several times over the past 5 weeks regarding a transfer from them to Starwood points and they have neither posted the points nor responded.

"Amazingly" , I got an e-mail this afternoon from Starwood saying 500 points had been purchased for my account. I find it more than coincidental that this occurred the day after I posted the message on this forum. I'm not sure I will use AirMilesMart.com again. It's a hassle to be sending them repeated messages about missing points week after week and getting no response.
They used to be very responsive when they started, but in the last couple of years I've had to send multiple requests when points didn't post. I still thought they were overall better than ebates, but I haven't used them for a while...
It's probably hard to respond to all those emails when you're just one guy, working out of your basement.
Seriously, though, we've always gotten our SPG points from them, they're just very slow to post and completely unresponsive to emails, so don't take it too personally.
My experience is they don't really respond to emails quickly or at all, but requests to fix point postings do happen with one request. It just takes time.

I didn't get my 500 miles and sent an email a month ago. Got a quick reply, with a promise to get the miles by the end of February. So far nothing. And today their web site seems down.

Unfortunately, this another one of the "garabe" sites that has probably run its course.
I don't know what garabe is, but am I the only one who likes airmilesmart? I get Starpoints on my Orbitz purchases and some other things where other portals pay nothing. I wish Starwood would come out with a shopping portal.

Well you're probably one of the few, especially if one uses Mypoints.com, which offers more miles per dollar (converting 2 points to 1 United mile) and with less restrictions on nearly all merchants in comparison to Airmilesmart. This is especially true since Expedia and Accor Hotels (Novotel, Sofitel, Mercure, etc.) joined Mypoints.com as merchants, which used to be my main reason for using Airmilesmart.
One exception though would be Starwood hotels, which are no longer available through Mypoints.com - for Starwood bookings, AirMilesMart is my choice, although the restrictions on US hotels and rates are really annoying.
