So if the 2nd card isn't an AMEX, is it a VISA? Can someone clarify if the 2nd card that we're supposed to sign up for has an AMEX logo on it?

It didn't work for me - they said that it needs to show that it is a business account.

For those concerned about timing of miles posting lately, data point: Got the visa a week ago, made $1500 spend, statement closed 8/2, miles posted 8/2 (in their system). I don't think they *really* posted until yesterday night or this morning, though, thought I checked yesterday and did not see them. So, still posting within 2 days of statement close.

Both of my 75K bonuses posted the day after the statement closing date. Biz/First to Europe here we come.

Rep infomed me miles will post 6 months once spend met

Activated my card today (applied 7/24) for the visa. The agent informed me that the 75k miles will not post even if I meet the 1500 spend req early until 6 months afterwards. Just an fyi from my call.

American Express and Visa are both networks used to process purchases. That is what is being distinguished on Post #2. All cards in Post #2 are being issued by Citibank, with Citibank rules, policies, accounts, CSRs, credit departments. The ONLY thing that is American Express is the network used by Citibank to make these transactions. THEY ARE NOT AMEX CARDS WITH AMEX RULES!

An uninformed CSR does not equal thousands of data points from Flyertalkers.

+1. I've done this card between my wife and I 5 times and always posted the bonus after the statement in which the spend was completed.

Applied for AA business Visa in early June and my 75k AA miles posted today!
I am planning to cancel it in mid September and apply for another business card a few days later. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I swear that veteran members must be creating new accounts just to annoy people that are still watching this thread.

If your question is real, you need to read post #2. Thank you.

Another data point about the biz card. Applied Monday, got approved Wednesday with no additional paperwork. Today I got the approval e-mail that said I got a 5k credit limit- a bit higher then all the 1k limits people were reporting. I have no idea why I got a higher limit with no paperwork, but I'm not complaining.
