No. Points posted 48 hours after statement closes.

Your statement date may be anywhere between a few days after the card is issued or a month after the card is issued - there is no telling. Moving the statement date would only complicate the matter.

So people are reporting that the point offer is still valid? But the catch is, it can be pulled at any time since it's technically expired?

But once the points are in our account, we'd be good?

Yes, you will get them the second you spend $1,500

Everyone else got them in the time frame listed in post #2

I have citi A.A. cards that are still open

A personal visa opened in 2009 and master opened 2010

AA AMEX opened July 2009 cancelled July 2010 applied for this card again in April 2011 denied for having card in the past

BUSINESS CARDS :

AA business visa opened opened 2010 cancelled last month
AA business master opened 2008 cancelled 2009

question--- do I have a chance to get any A.A. CITI cards if I apply for "any" of the above cards?

Thanks for any info

OK 10 mins has passed, last noob question for the night:

For AMEX personal, I know it says there's no relation to AMEX credit but is it similar to AMEX in that I'd have to pay off what I charge within that month (i.e. a regular AMEX card)

Your credit report is irrelevant. You would have to hack into or destroy Citibank's computers to eliminate that information. (Unless, of course, you have access to a time machine.)

Well, eventually you have to pay your credit card bill. The credit card companies don't like it when you don't pay them.

Seriously though, I assume you mean when will the points post. As stated in post #2, the points post a couple of days after your statement closes.

Yeah, that's what I figured....Can you clarify the AMEX personal card - I know typical AMEX cards (Gold/Black) you have to pay off completely each month to avoid fees. Post #2 says it's not related to AMEX credit but is it the same type of card, i.e. I have to pay off balance within a month to avoid those AMEX-type fees?

Thanks...I really appreciate the noob hand holding!

With all due respect and credit to the late Gil Scott-Heron:

Post #2 will not be brought to you by the
Schaefer Award Theatre and will not star Natalie

Post #2 will not give your mouth sex appeal.
Post #2 will not get rid of the nubs.
Post #2 will not make you look five pounds
thinner, because Post #2 will not be televised, Brother.

But post #2 will set you free (or at least give you the answers you seek).

Another data point:

I just applies for both personal cards using 2 separate browsers and the links provided in post #2 and was instantly approved for both cards. Once the cards arrive in the mail I will call and verify the points/spending.
