Last week on my 1 hour flight the FA never once got up from her seat. No pre-departure drink, no hot meal or packaged snack, and NO inflight beverage.
This was in comparison with my 1 hour F flight earlier in the day on OZ, where they served a gourmet 3 course meal with vintage champagne and Grand Cru Burgundy.
Sh!t happens, don't register on FT and immediately begin ranting to hardened travelers.
Or my 30 minute LX flight MUC-ZRH where you get a cold snack tray, drinks, refills and coffee and tea, which considering the actual allowed serving time was very good. QF do a good service SYD-BNE or SYD-MEL where block times are only just over the hour. US airlines seem incapable of doing anything less than a drink run in less than 2 hours (except WN who amazingly now offer a damn sight more service than many legacy carriers on flights).

So why did I have a BHX-FRA-SIN changed by LH when it dropped to 55 minutes connect. Ended up going BHX-MUC-SIN instead (much better deal).

Oliver2002 recently posted the latest updates on the FRA MCTs, but I can't find his post anymore. IIRC it's now 45 minutes for almost everything, but I try to remember which were the exceptions that need more.
[...] At the Berlin Marriott, there was a great beer in the fridge in the CL. I don't recall the name as in grand German fashion contained at least 20 letters and various accent marks making it quite difficult to remember for a retarded American like myself. [...]
It is great to see how stubbornly the the FT community defends LH here...
I can call the hotel on Monday and ask for someone in the Concierge Lounge to look. They had 4 beers. One was the Czech version of Budweiser. And then there were two others. One was a very dark beer and the other 2 were pilsners. But, I didn't play close attention. We were in a bit of a rush and I just grabbed one. It was good. I recall looking at the label and thinking there was no way possible I would know how to pronounce it correctly. :-)

The "Czech version of Budweiser". This a good one. Budweiser from the Czech Republic is the orginal. However, the Anheusser-Bush's muddy chemical brew is not a copy but a disgrace. But you are right, (real) Budweiser is certainly sweeter than Warsteiner (or any norther German type of Pilsener beer).

Well, I would beg to differ. It is difficult to compare Budweiser from Anheuser-Busch and Budweiser from České Budějovice. While both are lagers, and both legitimate brews with wildly different tastes, the American beer is sweeter and a bit darker while the Czech beer is a bit more bitter and lighter in colour.
It bothers me when so many people disregard beers, wines, liquors from America or elsewhere simply because of nationalistic feelings or personal tastes. Listen, each of us was raised with a different palate. I certainly can and do appreciate beers from all over the world. There are excellent California wines, my favourites being from the Firestone vineyards from the Santa Ynez Valley. After living here in Italy, I have come to absolutely love a great Amarone or a peppery-spicy Cabernet Franc from the Piave river banks of the Veneto. I find there is a time and place for an Amstel and other times when Grolsch or Tuborg is the best bet. Any drink should be judged based solely on whether is satisfies the purpose for which it was being drunk. If I have a spicy Thai dinner, perhaps a Singha is in order, or to wash down a plate of cool ceviche I would prefer Dos Equis (XX) or Tecate. I've found that there is perhaps a beer for every occasion. That doesn't mean to say that every beer is good. And in my case, I just don't like Warsteiner. And I don't like Coors or Miller Genuine Draft. My favourite American beer is Michelob Ultra. And I do like a Bud Light from time to time. As I am sure, your tastes will vary based on your palate.

so you judge LHs C service (partly) by the type of beer they serve, while you now post that its down to personal taste?
warsteiner seems to meet most LH paxs taste, otherwise they would serve a different one. i dont like budwiser on UA either, much less do i like to pay 5$ for it, but still thats not the reason why flying UA (or any other american carrier for that matter) is crap...
but anyway, "the czech version of budweiser" comment certainly made my sunday...
