basically it is a collection of links to
online checkin
flight bookings
miles & more
departures
arrivals
timetable
BUT you can save your M&M username & password in the preferences as well as your m&m number and your lastname for online checkin so that you don't have to enter this info when you follow these links
I guess this just really links to the mobile.lh.com site ?
Yep, it does - but it autmatically logs you on when you save your username/password in the preferences and automatically shows your possible online checkins when you entered your m&m number and last name in the preferences.

mobile.lufthansa.com also lets you save your M&M account number (provided your mobile supports this). All you have to do is enter your PIN code.

The iPhone does not support cookies, therefore the LH app makes sense on the iPhone. And: there are worse apps in the iPhone App Store. I find it's not too bad for the beginning...

the problem is that those cookies are not valid forever. the logon session will expire after a some minutes without activity on the related site. i guess mucsfo meant the "autocomplete/password rememering" feature rich client browser offer.
BTW compared to the BA app and the QF app the LH app is really good with lots of possibilities for enhancement (sorry) improvement. (see the AA online boarding pass support for the iPhone)

I am sorry, but my iPhone does remember the LH logon settings - not just for one session !
Cookies are alive and kicking !

Where are the Blackberry apps? How many business travellers have an iPhone anyway?
lots of my collegues (and i work for a company partly owned by microsoft) own an iphone rather than a pocketpc. even the collegues from accenture i work with who have a smartphone proudly carry around an iPhone (most of them privately organized a sim-free device out of their own pocket and putting their blackberries away ...)

Some yes, but in planes it is usually BlackBerrys that are turned on rather than iPhones. That's why I am surprised that many airlines offer iPhone apps but no BB apps.
