Everybody has that email. They want an email or letter showing that you were targeted.
An email or letter from October? I don't keep them longer than 15 minutes (after registering)! Why don't they run this campaign again, and calculate miles backwards?
I think that a certain individual (a "travel pro" that sells "Reisereporte") has been selling this promo on his website as "miles turbo" (for ~EUR 15-20 if I remember correctly) didn't help either...

You might wanna ask your HON service representative that question.
Personally, I'm of course very happy with their actions, especially with LH punishing customers who spent quite an amount of $$$ on (sometimes additional) LH/LX travel in order to generate extra promo miles that they wanted to use for their award travel needs. This takes a lot of competitors for award flights out of the market.
I already hear plenty of complaints and whining from people who lost between 30k and 50k miles and now don't have enough miles left to book their summer award travel in F or C. They thought everything was okay. They were wrong. So sad. Well, that's more F award space for those of us who spent the money on non-flying mileage revenue instead of tickets.
Plus, it's nice to see that LH is driving away some of their very best customers, who are so mad about this that they start using the competition. This means less HONs and SENs buying paid LH/LX C and F, hence once again more premium cabin award space for me.
Way to go, LH! Keep up the good work! This is the kind of enhancement I keep looking for.
You mean LX C and F? since you stopped flying LH...
Wrong. I keep flying LH on awards. LH's "disgraceful F cabin" is still a good value considering that a rountrip flight to the US only costs me 6-7 free T-Mobile contracts (that's a total of EUR 0.00 plus 7-11 minutes of unpaid paperwork) plus tax.
I simply refused giving my paid business (it's status renweal year) to LH and switched to LX and other airlines (quite some OZ C/F and TG C/F this year). The LX crews are just as nice, the LX F seats are better, food is comparable, the F ground service is WAY better (at least HON Circle level) and the staff doesn't go on strike every 5 minutes. Actually, the very senior LX crews I talked to didn't have much sympathy with the strike action of their LH counterparts.
