I am flying C class all the way from EDI - LHR - MUC -HKG

Would I be able to take all the stuff with me? Or else I would have to drop them off at the local courier today ASAP!

Thank you!
Also check to make sure that BMI will check your luggage through, unless your ticket is issued all by the same outfit, then it shouldn't be a problem

If you manage to get the 2 pieces checked through then you can try to get on board with the 2 pieces in EDI (not sure if you will be successful) and then when you are in Heathrow, just have them check the extra pieces in so you can board the LH flight in LHR.

Checking 2nd piece in London might be a problem, since in the system it may be reflected that OP has already checked in two pieces weighting totally 30+kg.
flyingkid, do you have any status, either with BD or LH or any other Star Alliance member?

The LH information is outdated and refers back to the times when LHR did only allow one piece of carry-on. Both BMI and LH will allow two carry-ons.

Thanks for the update, will certainly help for my futue trips. Having said that the OP indicated he wants to take on 2 pieces plus a laptopbag, ie 3 pcs total as carryon plus 2 in the hold. Didn't think that 3 pcs was possible

9 kg in two pieces as cabin luggage? Not a lot per bag. Can't you consolidate this into one cabin trolley? One cabin trolley plus one laptop bag will definitely not be a problem.

And as the others said, your can take your checked luggage for sure, it might just cost you a few pounds extra, but probably cheaper than sending it by courier.

Thanks for all the inputs
Sorry there was a mistake in my original post, I should have:

2x 8KG Carry-ons + Laptop
2x 17KG Hold Baggages

I don't have any status so Im just hoping for the best!

I am hoping the BMI staff at the check in desk tomorrow will be nicest person on planet earth!

I´m flying award LH C from FRA-LAX and then directly with paid UA Y paid ticket from LAX-HNL. The LH agent told me that they will check my baggage through in FRA but I´m wondering if this is true since I do not want to pay the baggage fee UA has for its intra US flights. Moreover I´m afraid that UA will stop the check through and that I have to check-in again in LAX.

Does someone can help?

On the way back I think I´ve to pay since the first leg from HNL is on the paid ticket.

Thx a lot for your help.

You'll be fine. LH will check it thru to your final destination and UA will not bother when you dump the luggage on the transit belt after entering the country and going past customs.
