Local reports (Times of India, today's edition) advised that aircraft was flying unmanned/unattended by pilots during the altercation.

Why doesn't *A just wake up and smell the coffee - that AI is a gone case!

(Anyone read about the B744 fire at BOM a few weeks ago? Luckily fire detected while on the ground - slides deployed on the *side on fire*!!!)

Hey, no big deal, sounds like a real Bollywood movie with real action heroes!

Cheers everyone from IST. Out in the streets it's like that AI flight these days here.

Mobile boarding pass and wrong status

I had some fun today when I checked in and used the mobile boarding pass. So my travel agency is still putting my SEN number in the reservation and I had never any problems with it. However when I checked in with that number, the resulting boarding pass is showing SEN instead of HON. Previously this just worked perfectly fine and the system put HON on it. Maybe the big check-in software update screwed everything up.

Greetings from the TAP Premium Lounge @LIS. One of the best selections of food in any *G lounge I´ve been to and free Internet PCs. Fortifying myself for Y flights to LHR via MXP. Since this is a freebie trip courtesy of LH I can´t complain.

Happened to me some weeks ago too. Up till last month it didn't matter which LH number was in the system (SEN or HON), the BP always showed the correct status. This seems to be no more ?

Recently the transfer of my Dinersclub points to my M&M account didn't work, and when checking I still had my old SEN number in the DC profile. Good reminder that I really need to call DC to sort this mess out..

I've just scored my first upgrade from C to F on LX for my 12 hrs flight from GRU to ZRH.... boarding in 10 minutes... I never had a bigger smile I guess

Thanks very much to everyone here for your hints regarding voluntary unloading -> instead of doing so, they found a place in F apparently for me

The LH IT is really screwed up. They are more than happy to add more than one M&M number to the booking. So if my travel agency books it with my old SEN number, then I call the hotline to add my HON number to it, then everything seems to work again. And even the web checkin with my SEN number works fine. I make a wild guess and assume that the lookup of the actual M&M account and its status has been replaced by a prefix matching of the number

I also assume that the automatic checkin for SEN/HON 5 hours before departure magically will fix your status. Or an actual human person is taking care of this. This whole number business is pretty much stupid. Just having one number and if the status changes they send you a new card with the right color would be better.

I am curious what happens when I loose my HON status in 2012. Do I get my old SEN number back or do I get another one

Probably been asked but here we go again.

Can I purchase entrance ($$ or Miles) into the FCL in FRA with my C BP?

Also can I use my miles to upgrade a fellow traveler (on the same flight) from Y to C?

Only if you use your miles to upgrade to F on the segment/s you are either flying out of, or into FRA. (You can also choose to pay the difference in $$$ to get an F ticket!)

If booked in Z-class, some ex-US tickets stipulate no upgrades to F...

Yes, but it depends what the fare basis is on his Y ticket...any class above V, using LH miles.

Thanks SuperFlyBoy I am Z-Class, but I am ex-Nigeria and have used miles to upgrade before (I wanna do it again, but I would just burn through all of my miles very quickly!), I really enjoy the F product, but I do it more for the lounge than I do the flight!

It would be better to find a thread addressing these upgrade issues on LH and post there - but you should have no problem upgrading to F with your ticket!
