Damn, this is 100 cheaper than the one I bought a few months ago. ($281 all in $350). Anyone know whats the policy or the process on getting a voucher from United for the difference. Does one lose the assigned seats etc?

The refare will cost you $150 so you'll lose $50 on the deal.
Not enough vacation days in a year to keep taking advantage of this craziness! Already booked FCO, BZE, and BCN this year. Going to be a tough pill to swallow to not jump on this one.
This is a fabulous fare. Unfortunately, it seems L class to HNL is totally sold out (or blocked off) for several days on either side of Christmas, so this doesn't help my plans to go to Hawaii then.

We did the $220 UA "deal" from EWR late last year. No regrets. Rented a very cheap ($80 SUV) one way from DCA with National Rental and sweet talked our way with the TA at HNL back to IAD. Of course it helped that the flight to EWR was oversold. Take a chance!

Yeah, from EWR, you can't do X-mas, and I don't think you can do much with Thanksgiving or Easter, either. But if you avoid the holidays, there's LOTS of availability.
For many flyertalkers, I suspect this is one to tell your friends about. It's truly an incredible deal. You just need the time.
Do you know if this fare earns 100% EQMs on CO? I don't think CO has released UA mileage accrual charts yet.
I highly doubt it would earn 100% EQMs.
It would, however, be quite useful for the bonus miles. I think it's fairly safe to conclude that CO plats and golds will receive 100% bonuses when flying UA. That means an EWR-HNL roundtrip nets you 20,000 miles. If you conservatively value miles at a penny a mile, that means UA will fly you roundtrip to Hawaii for about 50 bucks.
The EQMs you would earn would be gravy, I would submit.
For those interested in nesting this with other deals (or staying in HNL for a month), IAH-SFO-OGG-HNL-DEN-IAH is available for $258 ai. Include SFO on ret. for $4 more.

It looks like UA removed DFW from the fare but the other original cities remain and new ones were added (as already mentioned by others). I'm still waiting, hoping AA or US will offer the fare. If not, no big deal. We have too many vacations scheduled already.
