It's not easy. But I'm sure it can be done.

Thanks for the advise. I was able to hold the itinerary this morning until midnight tomorrow and was told to go to the airport to purchase it with my voucher. If I did not see this, I would not have called UA and booked the ticket and the deal is gone now.. Thanks again!!!

A taxi will run you about $60. You could take a public bus, which would be pretty cheap, but the trip will take a few hours.

Thanks, I managed to talk my Brother into taking his family for a weeklong Family Vacation (hmm, Chevy Chase comes to mind) in early January at about $250 each out of Newark. His only complaint was he has to connect in SFO. For $250 he's lucky he got to bypass Boise, Fargo, John Wayne --- no offense. Mahalo!

LOL - taking friends in Jan on ORD-MSP-DEN-HNL with a 1 year old - should be fun if our u/g clears on the ghetto bird!

I wasn't even aware there was a 24 hour cancellation period. I jumped on the deal even though I'm already scheduled to go back to Hawaii a few months later.

I helped my newly married buddy and his wife grab this for their honeymoon. Worked out perfect for them! I hope AA/CO/DL match this soon so I can have a go at it too! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Best way is probably to just rent a car one-way from HOU to IAH. Likely cheaper than a cab.

They won't match since the fare is already gone.

One-way, one day compact car with National from HOU Friday (tomorrow) to IAH Saturday is $36.99... (Nice way to do a quick addition of one rental toward your status Hertz status, UCSBCHRIS2002. )

Oh, looks like crhptic beat me to the suggestion!
