But how many Malays are MRers? (Yes, I've been there, a couple times.)

Not saying it's not an awesome deal, just saying I don't see it when I search. I guess you misinterpreted my post and ran off to jump to conclusions. Whatever.

Not saying it's not an awesome deal, just wondering if there's a way to make it work from the US. And apparently there isn't, as is usually the case on INTL fares.
It's simple, get a positioning fare to KUL or somewhere in SE Asia where it makes sense and start booking your o/w or return fare out of KUL. It's that simple. Bottom line is its a good deal at approx $630 one way to north america in biz class. Take advantage of it if you think it makes sense otherwise let it go.

cheers.

on ITA just a straight kul to yyz search doesnt appear to work. However,
kul:: icn f+
yyz: f+ icn

Does the trick. No clue about booking sites, I havent checked

KUL-ATL-JFK-YYZ

Edit - For those bound for US destinations you can insert an overnight at eg JFK or ORD for a little extra, and omit to take the final sector to YYZ.

Indeed bookable on delta.com. My selected itinerary came back with MYR5942, approximately 1590 US$! B.C. D and F all the way, great fare, thanks OP!

I can't pull it up on DL.com , it says no flights available between KUL-ICN.

Looking at KUL-YVR fares, I noticed that weekend fare is more than double the weekday fare. In fact, if you double the weekday fare, the weekend fare is still $300 higher. My guess is that the weekday fare was supposed to be one way but was mistakenly uploaded as roundtrip. YYZ is the reverse. The weekend fare is several hundreds lower than weekday fare. Probably should have been double that.

Fare is Probably Going Bye-Bye

From past fare deals, it may be that the airline finds it quicker to pull inventory temporarily than to pull the fare, which it will probably do very soon. Try booking on websites like (x)pedia or orabiits (continuing the cute spelling tradition for no obvious reason.)
